Spring is a great time to get into improving your lawn. Following are some simple steps to do this;
1-Initially you’ll want to clear up any weeds that have invaded the turf. This can be done with an application of a general weed and feed treatment.
2-Once the weeds and unwanted grass have started to brown off remove them and add approximately 25-30mm of a good lawn prep mix. This will enrich the soil and give the existing grass and grass seed you sow a good base to grow a lush, green sward. Use a rake and roller to fill any uneven patches where needed.
3-Once the surface is settled water the area and wait for a fine day before sowing your seed. Lightly rake it in and give it a small amount of water. Then water every day as germination takes place.
